Fine sound for such a compact speaker system.
I have limited desktop space at work and have been looking for something compact for my iPod. This meets my needs just fine. It comes with lots of adaptor caps for different iPods. The sound is fine, though it doesn’t have deep full bass, but I am satisfied. For the size, I wasn’t expecting fantastic sound. It does work great for listening to audio books and other spoken word media. Very clear. I got two of them and would buy them again. I think they would make nice gifts for others with limited space. If you are looking for something for your only iPod speaker system, I would look for something larger, as iPods are capable of fantastic sound quality that won’t be fully realized with this docking station.

My son bought me my ipod for Christmas and I love it, and so I can enjoy my music even more he got me the speaker dock for Mother’s Day. It has good quality sound and the little case makes it easy for me to take it with me on my trips, I am a flight attendant. I would recommend this product.

The sound is a little light or tinny. But for the size that is to be expected. I use it in my office area and it is adequate for that. I wouldn’t buy at full price, but at $50 I found it sufficient. If you want a deep full sound, try another speaker system. I like the carrying case that comes with it.

Sounds atleast as good as bose
I bought this for my samsung p2 for the bluetooth but this little bad boy sounds sweet i was surprised i just wanted something for when i was working around outside and the likes but at same volume’s it sounds as good at my home system. The only neg. is with the usb it wont connect to p2 as in it just say’s reading onscreen so i cant “At the moment” rip straight from cd to p2 but i hope a firmware update will take care of that and yes it does look like a high priced clock radio but i can crank it up and hear it throught the house, well worth the money and if you were silly enough to buy an ipod it’s still worth the money !!!! JK LOL

Homedock Deluxe? Almost.. Not Quite
This is the third generation homedock deluxe from DLO and it is the best so far, but still a few issues that should’ve been addressed being a muti generation unit. It is one of the only docks that I found to hook up to my tv to navigate my music and videos stored on my ipod. If you don’t have many songs on your ipod or don’t care about seeing the song names and album covers on your tv than this may not be the dock for you. If your like me (musically insane) and have massive amounts of music to browse through or if you like the party setting so your guests can see the artist and song names that are playing, than this is one of your only choices on the market today.
This dock works pretty much as advertised, with a few noted exceptions:
Album art: thumbnail loads instantly, larger format takes about 40 seconds to load and while it loads you are stuck… ie: no skipping songs/browsing your catalog of goods.
Remote is a little tempermental and sometime gets a mind of it’s own when browsing categories, skipping tracks, ect…
The remotes range is pretty sad, even with new batteries the angles are horrible and you must be straight on to use it.
DLO has an upgrade to “fix” these issues. In trying todo the firmware upgrade i’ve blown two docks and am on my third unit. (the other two were exchanged at the store where I purchased)
I tried to contact DLO by email from their web site and unfortunatley after three days I discontinued trying (you just can’t count on good tech support nowdays!!!)
But, even with the aforementioned downfalls this is still a desent unit and addresses my needs for the time being.

Very nice
I bought a new Yamaha receiver and got this from here. Very happy with it. The receiver recognized that it was hooked up, I plugged in my iPod and voila - it works. It has a rather long cable which is nice. I keep it "hidden" at the back of the receiver and then pull it out when I want to listen to the iPod.

Makes your Ipod that much more enjoyable
